BRUSHES N SUCH!!!

OOOKAY let me just start off by saying this!! when i first started to get into makeup i had 4 brushes.. plus my fingers!! lol yes i said my FINGERS!! and what ive learned over the years as i started to learn more and grow. Artist would make such a BIG DEAL about how much money they spent on MAC brushes, while i was carrying my  myDRUGSTORE brushes and still achieving the same looks as these MAC BRUSHES!! Ive had women question my skills all because of the brushes i was using.. proved them so wrong and remained humble about my craft. SO TO ALL  of my inspiring MUAs on the rise its NOT about the amount of money you spend on a cosmetic brush!! its about the TECHNIQUE! always remember that.

Hint; Fluffy brushes gives you less coverage ususally have long bristles (eyes and face)

(Tight compacted) or dense makeup brushes usually short bristles gives you more coverage(eyes and face)

&& ANY ANGLED BRUSH is excellent for contouring/blush application

So now that my ranting is over im going to give you all an overview on each brush and the MAIN brushes I part without!! so takes notes and let me know if i was helpful:)

HERE ARE THE 10 MOST IMPORTANT BRUSHES. THAT EVERY WOMEN/ARTIST NEED IN THEIR BAG!!

1.  We have the BIG fluffy brush

• Full face application
• light coverage (powder)

* ME personally, i also use it to blend all foundation, bronzers, and blush at the end of each application *

2. The flat Foundation brush (favorite)

• For liquid and cream foundation
• More coverage
• Holds alot of product

TIP; ALWAYS go in the same direction i start at my forhead and working my way down going from side to side. or whatever direction that works best for YOU!

3.Contour angled Brush (favorite)

• perfect for bronzers && blush (optional)
• Gives your face the illusion of being slimmer
• Gives your face more Definion/depth perfect for (round face shapes)
• Use for cheeks and forhead area *Range in size*

4. The angled eyeliner brush/ Eyebrow brush (pointed tip) (absolute FAVORITE BRUSHES)

• Perfect for the SEXY cat eye
• Smooth application
• All purpose brush (Eyes,eyebrows and lips) *clean before and after each use*
• Perfect for eyebrows (perfect arch) *i HIGHLY recommend this brush*

IM SO TIRED OF SEEING THIS!! I REBUKE THESE EYEBROWS IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!!

THIS LOVELY FACE CHART WILL GIVE YOU THE BEST RESULTS FOR THE PERFECT BROW!! ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TAKE YOUR EYEBROW BRUSH AND MEASURE EACH POINT. AND MARCH EACH POINT..THEN FILL IN

LADIES YOU COULD HAVE THE BEST MAKEUP APPLICATION. BEAT FOR THE GAWDS!! BUT IF YOUR EYEBROWS ARENT RIGHT!! TUH AUTOMATICALLY TRASH!! *my opinion*

5.The flat eyeshadow brush(FAVORITE BRUSH)

• Tight Compacted brush(dense brush)
• Packs on eyeshadows and loose pigments
• All purpose brush *my opinion*
• perfect for eye glitter/glitter glue
• smooth application
• You could also use this brush for concealer(if you dont have one)
• Pat/pack on product

6. The blending brush!! ( I CANT LIVE WITHOUT)

• Blends eyeshadows (no harsh lines)
• Perfect for smokey eye
• fluffy and dense(choice)

7.Flat Dense brush

• Smooth coverage
• Full coverage
• Wet and dry products
• Blending
• Matte Finish
• use in circular motion

8. The Kabuki

• Great for blending
• Use on wet or dry
• Finishing brush
• Helps Set makeup

9.The Fan Brush

• Light blending
• fans away excess powder
• use in a straight or angled motion
• soft finishing

&& FINALLY

10.  The Sponge brush

• Perfect to set product
• Gives you a light airbrush affect
• great for hightlighting && contouring
• great for throughout the day touchups
• gives you the NAKED affect. natural hightlighting
• use it dry or wet

TIP;use it in a tapping/pressing motion. into the skin

HINT; make sure the brush is super Dense (tight) gives the best results; Too Spongy it will give you that spongy look and wont blend as well

PLEASE BE SURE TO CLEAN YOUR BRUSHES!!! WITH BRUSH CLEANER!! (ANTI BACTERIAL SOAP)

NEVER SOAK YOUR BRUSHES!!

WHAT I DO IS CLEAN THEM IN THE PALM OF MY HAND UNTIL ALL OF THE PRODUCT IS OUT OF THE BRUSH.

PRIMER..the foundation BEFORE the foundation

So just like foundation.. primers cater to every womens wants and needs. Primers where used to help the makeup the last which is great but women had long lasting makeup but you could still see their skin imperfections.. so companies decided to come out with a variety of primers to cater to each skin type. The MOST COMMON is Rosacea and Dark spots. Im going to give you an overview of MY FAVORITE primer which is Smashbox… so sit back get comfortable and take notes.. ITS PRIME TIME!!

Yes it is GREEN but dont FREAK OUT!! you just need a little this primer is amazing!! why green you ask? bc green cancels out red for the women struggling with rosacea

Okay We ALL  have those BITCHY BLEMISHES!! this primer is great for those

• Can be worn with or without foundation
• reduces appearance of fine lines
• Absorbs oil for Matte Finish
• Evens skin tone
• Vitamin C

This Primer is my FAVORITE, it contains light reflecting particles, which is perfect for those not so bright days!! you can go NAKED with this formula. This primer is also good for hight lighting and contouring which is a whole nother lesson. that we will get to!!

• Gives skin a natural radiance or glow
• oil FREE
• fills in fine lines, pores
• contains Grape seed extract Vitamin A C & E

Okay this Primer Can get you out of your darkest days!! MORE than primer

• Oil Free

This Primer is PERFECT for the women with DRY skin.. this cool blue hydrating primer does exactly that HYDRATES!

• Seals in moisture

So these are my TOP favorite primers that i do recommend to women bc they really do WORK!! all of these primers are super light weight and you can layer these, all you need is a DIME size and apply over a CLEAN && MOISTURIZED canvas (face)!! and your ready to apply your foundation.&& look beautiful while fixing all of your skin imperfections.

Ok Ok!! ladies I know makeup can be VERY overwhelming!! If you dont know about it, but its really not because ALL MAKEUP caters to ALL of your needs, You just have to ask yourself a few questions such as….

1. Whats my RIGHT shade!!

In the summer and winter our undertones change

• In the summer our undertone tend to look more Red,Orange, or Yellow(golden)
• In the Winter our undertone tend to look more Cool (Blue, or purple)
• Figure out if your Light, Medium, or Dark
• Then Pick out a few colors and start at your Jaw line whichever one that blends the BEST is the shade for YOU!!

2. How much Coverage do i want?

• Light
• Medium
•  Full Coverage

• Cream Foundation gives full coverage
• Liquid Foundation can either give Full/Medium coverage
• Powder Light/Medium coverage

3. Whats my skin type?

• Oily
• Dry
• Normal
• Combination
